ABOUT CANVASBACK

Canvasback, Inc. was started by an energetic outdoor enthusiast who was tired of ruining the back of her vehicle with dirty, hairy dogs and muddy sporting equipment. She came up with an idea to manufacture a cargo liner to protect the back of her nice SUV...and Canvasback was born.

We hand-manufacture and sell custom fabric cargo liners for Sport Utility Vehicles, Crossovers, Trucks and some Wagons. We are proud to say that we are made in the USA!

ABOUT THE JOB

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Salary: $16/hr

Responsibilities*:

This job operates in a warehouse and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, sewing machine, and cutting and digitizing equipment.

You’ll be responsible for using computer digitizing (Carlson Design Programs) to create cargo liner patterns and then cutting them using our industrial cutting machines. Your job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and fulfilling daily orders, while keeping all patterns and logos organized and inventoried

  • Using computer digitizing (TEDIT) equipment and software to input patterns and output cuts

  • Assisting Product Development Manager with development of designs

  • Creating and revises digital pattern using the Carlson Design Programs

  • Providing support to the Product Development Manager with creation of new patterns which may require a visit to a car dealership

  • Contacting maintenance company for repair of cutting machine

  • Participating as needed in special projects

Physical requirements:

This position requires the ability to:

  • Occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 30 pounds.

  • Move about/around the cutter/digitizer machine.

  • Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of previous experience working with cutting and digitizing equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Customer service focused with strong communication skills.

  • Positive, energetic, roll up your sleeves mentality with ability to wear multiple hats and dive in.
